Physical Therapy

The first physical therapy visit usually takes 1 hour. The initial consultation with our physical therapist tests your range of motion, pain intensity levels with different exercises, and explores a variety of measurements of your area of concern. The therapist will provide patients with a neuromuscular re-education plan, home exercise program, and the knowledge base to continue your regimen even after therapy is over.

Dr. Spurlock is the chiropractor Birmingham, AL, residents trust to provide specific, individualized treatment. The initial chiropractic visit at Alabama Spine and Rehabilitation Center can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on when your most recent X-Ray or MRI of the problem area was done. If you have gotten an MRI or X-Ray within the last year, we will need a copy of that report which can be faxed to 205-822-8323.

“Will I need x-rays?”

If after your consultation and examination it is determine that x-rays of your spine are needed, we will perform an x-ray examination. X-rays are not needed for every person or every condition.
